Ferrari 275 GTB Alloy

A very special Ferrari 275 GTB/2 cam with factory alloy body - the car was delivered new to France in 1965 and at the beginning of the 70's the car was sold to Fernand di Maria who used the car enthusiastically on a number of Ferrari France Club events - after which the car was looked after in the Marin/Pozzi Collection for years.

The car was bought by Stephen Meyers and was displayed at the 2000 Retromobile event.

In 2003 the car was underwent a thorough competition preparation by fabled Classic Ferrari expert - Piet Roelof and converted to a 6 carburettor set up. The results of this work was an engine which was run on the dyno to produce a very healthy 315 bhp.

In 2004 Myers ran the car in that year's Tour Auto as well as the Le Mans Classic. Following participation in the 2005 Tour Auto the car was offered for sale and renewed it's competion career with participation on the 2006 GP Montreux. In 2012 the car once again took part in the Tour Auto and Le Mans Classic events and the following year under the ownership of Patrick Launay undertook a couple of events including the 10,000 Tours du Castellet where the car completed both races.

The car has barely covered 600 kms in the past 6 years but has been continually maintained to the highest standards.

This car has full documented provenance and is well known as the cover car in a Ferrari book by Antoine Prunet - where the car is extensively featured with it's old registration K 94 under Di Maria's ownership. In addition the car is featured in the Jess Pouret book about the 275.

A very exciting event car with impeccable provenance - which can be used comfortably on the road. A rare opportunity.
