Introduced at the Paris Motor Show in October 1966, the 275 GTB/4 (or 4-cam) was a substantially updated car; built by Scaglietti, it featured new bodywork and was the first Ferrari to not be offered with wire wheels. Power came from a substantially reworked Colombo V12, still with two valves per cylinder but now with a four-cam engine and six carburettors as standard. The 275 GTB/4 could hit 165 mph with its 300 bhp engine. 280 4-cam versions were produced through 1968 - resulting in a total production run of 350 examples.

Delivered new to Maranello Concessionaires in 1967, our car has fantastic ownership provenance - including James Allington - a past owner of a Factory 250 Testa Rossa and rock legend Eric Clapton who acquired #09261 in April 2003 and went on to spend £160k restoring the car. Talacrest have owned this car several times before, last having the car in stock in 2010 when the car had 38,000 miles on the clock. The car was subsequently shown at the inaugural Warren Classic Concours in 2013, The Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2014 and also at the 2015 Kuwait Concours.

The car has always been maintained in exceptional condition and has covered a mere 4000 miles in the last 11 years since we last had the car. A brief test drive has confirmed the car offers exhilarating performance and the induction roar from the 6 carburettor set up is quite superb!
