The introduction of the graceful 365GT 2+2 in 1969 marked the first time a Ferrari could be bought with power steering as standard and with air-conditioning. The styling was heavily influenced by the rare and hand built 500 Superfast. Fitted with the same 320 hp 4.4 litre V12 as the 365GTC this 4 seaters is a much more relaxed and faster touring car than the preceding 330 and 250 2+2’s.

#12623 is a fine matching numbers example of one of only about 60 cars built in RHD and showing only 83,500 miles.

- On July 4th 1969 it was delivered new in Australia by the then Importer W.H.Lowe & Co. to A Dr. Downey. It remained in Australia until the current owner exported the car to the UK in 2014. Originally it was finished in Bianco with a beige interior. The original warranty card is still with the car!
- In 1987 it transferred to Ian Buddery, president of the Ferrari Owners Club of New South Wales, Australia, who in 1990 restored the car for a cost of A$120,000, which at the time probably exceeded the value of the car. He changed it from Rosso red to metallic dark charcoal grey. With a nicely chosen contrasting beige interior and sitting on Borrani wheels the car looked very imposing. Ian is a competent and knowledgeable engineer who is focussed on historic racing, operating an ex Michael Andretti Lola-Cosworth Indy car from his garage. In the past he also had a Daytona spyder conversion for many years. The car registration was then ENZ 027
- In 1991, Ian Buddery sold the car to a Mr Peter Ireland.
- It then went to another Sydney owner, Mr Tony File
- In 2006 the car transferred to William Koppe and then Michael Martin, who changed the registration to 281 25H
- It then transferred to well-known Sydney Jaguar restoration specialist Ian Cummins who registered the car SI 6593, and retained it in his personal collection until ill health brought the car to market in 2014.

- The previous owner, bought the car in 2014 and had the car transported to England where it was stored and regularly serviced and MOT’d by Ferrari Maranello of Egham Surrey. Newly registered with a classic number and plate TUX 125H. During this time, it had some further work completed, including new tyres, by GTO Engineering,the Classic Ferrari Specialists. There was also some metal fabrication work carried out by Foxley Classics the well known classic car specialists. Total cost approx. £20,000. All invoices and photos are included in the history.

The car retains the very rare original leather Ferrari wallet, handbook, warranty cards its original selling sticker in the rear window, original selling 1969 brochure and both leather tool rolls.
